Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you have to attend a Grand Championship event to get to CHEERSPORT Nationals?
A: CHEERSPORT's Nationals is an 'open' Nationals meaning that we do not require that teams qualify or attend other CHEERSPORT events to attend our Nationals.
Q: When will you post the competition and warm-up schedules?
A: Detailed competition schedules will be posted the Monday preceding the competition by 5pm. Teams should check-in at the warm-up station 1 hour before their competition time. These schedules are subject to change.
Final schedules will be available on the day of the event.
Q: What is CHEERSPORT's policy on personal video taping and photography?
A: Spectators are allowed to photograph and videotape the competition. No cameras or video cameras
are allowed behind the judges stand. No cameras or video cameras are allowed in the area between the judges stand
and the front of the floor, or in any position that obstructs the judges or other spectators view of the competition
floor. *These rules apply to Grand Championships only. Please visit the
Nationals section of our website for our Nationals Photo and Video Guidelines*
Q: Who do I contact if I have a question about the competition schedule?
A: Team representatives should call us at 888-READY-OK or can utilize the
feedback area of our website. Competitors, parents and spectators should contact their
coaches or organizations for information about their team.
Q: Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
A: The receipt you received after registering your team online serves as your confirmation.
Q: Does CHEERSPORT provide spotters?
A: Coaches, parents or other cheerleaders within your organization are welcome to spot their teams
during competition. The judges will not take away points from the competing team for using spotters. In the event
that a team does elect to use a spotter, this person should be especially aware that they must limit their
involvement on the competition floor to spotting. Their presence on the floor must remain 'hands-off' and is
intended only to ensure a safe dismount from a stunt or pyramid in the event of a fall.
Any activity by a spotter that appears to provide any undue competitive advantage (such as 'saving' a stunt,
assisting in the building of a stunt or otherwise providing guidance or instruction to the competitors while
on the floor) may result in a penalty against that team at the discretion of the head judge and/or competition
director.
Q: What kind of concessions are available at events?
A: Concessions are handled exclusively by the facilities in which CHEERSPORT holds their event. CHEERSPORT does not receive any proceeds from concessions at any of our events. Our involvement in concessions is typically limited to making a request to the facility to make them available to our customers.
