Awards
Every team competing at a CHEERSPORT Grand Championship Series event receives a trophy.
Competitors on teams that place 1st, 2nd or 3rd will receive a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal.
The first place team in each division will also receive an official Grand Championship Series banner
recognizing this accomplishment.
Floors
CHEERSPORT utilizes the AAI ELITE™ Power Cheer Floor featuring fiberglass reinforced
wood panels for superior strength and performance on our 54' x 42' cheer floors.
CHEERSPORT can and will provide a non-spring,
carpet-bonded foam competition floor to accomodate high school squads that are prohibited from competing on spring floors.
Teams needing this accomodation should let us know this when they register.
Warm-ups
The CHEERSPORT warm-up rotation provides each team a full 30 minutes of warm-up time:
- Stretch 10 minutes on 12x21 carpet bonded foam.
- Tumbling 7 minutes on (2) 6x75 spring runways.
- Partner Stunt 10 minutes on 18x42 carpet bonded foam.
- Walk-through with music 3 minutes on 42x54 carpet bonded foam floor.
Priority Seating
Many of the venues CHEERSPORT utilizes include theater or stadium style seating where there isnt a bad
seat in the house. In some venues, CHEERSPORT provides raised staging for the competition floor and
floor level seating for spectators.
When there is floor level seating, CHEERSPORT offers "priority seating" whereby the seating immediately in
front of the stage is reserved for fans and family members of the performing team. Signs and staff will provide
direction on how to enter and exit priority seating. The "On Deck" sign indicates the area where spectators of
the team performing next should wait. The "In the Hole" sign indicates the area where spectators of the team
following the "On Deck" team should start to gather as they wait to get "In The Hole".
To make priority seating work most effectively, please abide by the following guidelines:
- Wait until the team before yours has completed their performance before attempting to enter the priority seating area.
- There is typically a one minute window between performances. Please move quickly to find a seat.
- The first persons into the priority seating area should find seats at the far end. Every priority seating seat provides a good view - stopping in the center only serves to disrupt the flow of people and force others to work around you.
- Out of courtesy to those seated behind you, and to ensure that the judges view of the performance is not hindered, please remain seated during the entire performance.
- Exit priority seating immediately following your teams performance.
